Spectacular Spider-Man 114

Last Issue Somebody Broke Into Aunt May's House, Now Someone Steals Peter's Costume

See that cover? That's Keith Pollard art. He was one of my favorites. Sadly, he left the industry in the mid nineties. I hope you're doing well Mr. Pollard.

Someone broke into Peter Parker's apartment and steals Spider-Man's costume, web-shooters, spider tracers, the Spider-Man light in the belt buckle - the works. Who thought of this brilliant premise? Mantlo? No. Stern? Uh,uh. Milgrom? Nope. Kaminski that's who. And from first to last he transforms it into a plot and script that carries the tale brilliantly.

This story is clever. It's fun. And I'm wondering why nobody thought about it sooner.

Add Brozowsky's good art and we have a four star recommendation.

Brozowsky sample art from the issue. Black Spider looks good.
