Stuffed Squid
Ingredients
- 1/2 kilo fresh squid
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced siling labuyo or any other hot pepper
Cooking Instructions (total time : 25 minutes)
- Remove squid membranes and ink sacs and peel off skin.
- Wash squid.
- Marinate squid in a mix of soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, salt garlic, ginger and hot pepper.
- Roast over hot coals.
- The recommended sauce for this is a mix of soy sauce, a little vinegar, lemon or calamansi juice, siling labuyo or any kind of hot pepper (cut in half so it leaks into the sauce).
