Barbecued Chicken Skewers
Main Ingredients
- 25 bamboo skewers
- 1/2 kilo chicken chunks
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Ingredients for Marinade
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 3/4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 chili, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Cooking Instructions
- Soak the bamboo skewers in water for 10 minutes then set aside.
- Mix the marinade ingredients.
- Marinade the chicken chunks for at least 3 hours.
- Remove the chicken chunks from the marinade.
- In a saucepan, combine the marinade with ketchup and bring to a boil.
- Lower heat and simmer the marinade.
- Thread the chicken chunks into each skewer.
- Grill the skewered chicken until lightly browned.
- Brush the chicken chunks with the marinade/ketchup combination.
- Grill the chicken for 5 more minutes.
